Mama's bus or Tow truck, it depends who you ask!

Well, after almost a year Scott finally convinced me to get a new vehicle. We talked about it a lot and decided on a mini van. We figured we would be making at least 3 big drives a year Quincy, Alden, and Chattanooga. Everyone we talked to loved their mini van so we decided to take the plunge. Here are some pics from the dealers website. It is HUGE and I feel like it a bus but Lane says it is mommy's TOW TRUCK!

The basement is DONE

Well, it is almost done. We have moved eveything downstairs and we use it every night. Scott is currently hooking up our newest toy the Wii Fit. Here are some pics.

Happy Birthday!

Monday was Lane's 3rd birthday. However, if you were to ask him he would say his birthday was Sat, Sun, and Mon. He is already asking for things for his next birthday. We had a great time with Grandmas and Grandpas, cousins, and friends. Here are a few pictures of our three day celebration.

Apple Day!

Okay, Okay, I know it has been over a month since I have posted. We have been very busy getting back to school here. I have been falling asleep on Lane's floor every night at 8:00 which makes blogging very difficult. To make things worse, we can not find the battery charger for our camera. So, today I barrowed a camera from our friend Byron. I love this camera! It takes a picture the instant you press the button. THEN one second later you can take another picture! It was so much fun I took 143 pictures today. I made them into a couple of movie clips. Don't worry I did not use all 143 pics. The one with Lane's picture is mostly pics of our bug. The one that starts with the pic of all the kids has mostly pics of our friends. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoied taking them.

No more Camera!

Our Camera did not seem to be working out very well so we sent it back to Sony. Hopefully we will get a new one soon. Life, however , continues at the Schumacher home. Today, Daddy and Lane went out to Byron's "country home" to help out. Mommy worked on her dogs all day. The Sunday Chronicle had a huge article about the project. Playdate Aug 1st 2008

Summer can be hard WORK!

This summer we have been very busy but it has not all been swimming and vacation. We have been working very hard. Check out some of the things we have been working on.

With the help of a neighbor, Scott painted our foyer!

I was inspired by Sue's organization. Now maybe I will cook more!

Dekalb is doing "Huskies on Parade" and Mommy was chosen to be one of the artists.

Playdates!

We went to visit Drake and Brady Stewart in Byron. This park was GREAT!

Newest addition to "Bug Land"

Today Lane took a 3 1/2 hour nap! While he was sleeping mommy and daddy were setting up a surprise in "Bug Land". Mommy has been asking for a new pool all summer and today we got it!! Checkout Lane in his new pool. It was a little too cold for Mommy!

We are HOME!

We had a WONDERFUL vacation in Chattanooga but it is good to be home. We drove straight through stopping in KY to visit Big Bear Resort. I worked at Big Bear for two summers in college. We also checked out the Moors resort. We might try to talk the Nelsons into meeting us there sometime for a mini vacation. Lane did great in the car. I have to say he did better with Daddy in the backseat than with Mommy.

Today we went to the Tennessee Aquariam. We all loved it from the butterfly garden to the sting-rays (we could even touch them!) to the crazy sea horses. The pictures really say it all!

Still on "Bacation"

We are still in Chattanooga on vacation or "Bacation" as Lane says. We went swimming at the Baylor pool today. Lane can swim with his lifejacket on now. He can jump in and pop up and start swimming. When did that happen? Sue and I got an idea of what it would be like to have three children on a car trip. Yikes, we even missed the exit back to her house.

The Best Vacation Ever
